Room Tour // How to Clean a Bedroom

Hello :)

Thanks for coming and visiting!

Something I've seen a lot on the internet is the standard 'How to' post. It seems to be getting more and more popular so I've decided to make one of my own! Today's how to is... How to clean a messy bedroom! So, you might be thinking, 'Ummm, I think I can clean my own room...' But wait! If you get absolutely NOTHING else out of it, it'll at least be entertaining. I mean, does everyone else have a certain way and order of cleaning their room, or is it just me? Never mind, don't answer that... Okay, here goes...

Step 1 // Music! Who can clean anything properly without some background music? You can look at my second last post, 'Loving Lately' where I reviewed Pandora, a great music streaming app.

Step 2 // Dump everything off the bed onto the floor and then make it. Neatly. Start with the sheets, then the doona. If you have more than one pillow, put them prettily in order.

Step 3 // Get everything you just dumped on the floor and put it on your bed. Again. From here you can sort it all out into piles, things that belong in the cupboard, drawers, bedside and bookcase.
Step 4 // Choose one piece of furniture at a time, put your stuff away in it and make it look pretty! Easy ways to do this are: Putting things in order, colour coordinating, displaying pretty things you own and just not leaving random things lying around.

Step 5 // Pick up anything else lying around and try to find a home for it. If you can't find one, get a box and stick it all in that. I'm sorry to say I have four of these...

Step 6 // Enjoy! Treat yourself to a cookie or something!

Hope you enjoyed this how-to/room tour! By the way, the last picture is a panorama and makes the bedroom look bigger than it actually is. Ignore the bed spread, I don't love it but my family is house sitting this house and it came with furniture in it. I haven't been able to find a different bed-spread I liked in a queen size, so that's what I'm using! :)

  1. Your room is so neat and adorable! Cleaning the bedroom is important because it is a place of rest, kind of like one's own personal sanctuary. So, thank you for your tips :)
