Possibly About The Fault in Our Stars...

Ok, so may I just mention the fact that because of Hazel's haircut I thought it was two guys on the front cover so I thought that TFIOS was about two gay astronomers. Just a lil misunderstanding... It's totally reasonable though! Look!

Hehe... Well, I thought I'd do a little review, as I have read the book and just watched the movie. Ok? Ok. (I'm sorry, I had to!).

Firstly, the book. Here, we'll give it it's own heading!

THE FAULT IN OUR STARS: THE BOOK

It was sad. Very sad. I only teared up during the part with Hazel and Gus at the Petrol Station... I was told by many people that I was heartless. And some other not so nice words. Oops. It was a great book, but not necessarily my style. I mainly liked it because:

  • The one liners. Oh yes, the one liners! They were so great! My fave? Probably, 'Depression isn't a side affect of cancer. Depression is a side effect of dying.'. I LOVE HAZEL! Her sense of humour is so great without being super rude.
  • The little plot twists. It was not as cliché as I thought it would be, so that was a bonus.
  • The fact that John Green managed to string 26 letters together to make you cry! Head spin: Every book you've read is just a different combination of 26 letters!

So, yeah! Alrighty...

THE FAULT IN OUR STARS: THE MOVIE

  • Only movie that was a perfect representation of the book, EVER! I'm sure if you went over it with a fine tooth comb you could spot put some flaws, but me having read the book a few months back I saw NOTHING out of place! *Sigh* Best. Director. Ever! It makes me so happy, and they managed to make the text bubbles pop up without looking cheesy, so 1000,000 points to Team TFIOS!
  • I thought I became more close, (corny much!) to Tris. I mean Hazel! #ProblemsOfAMultiFandomFangirl... I cried way more in the movie because you actually saw the characters. Normally I would NEVER EVER EVER say this, but I almost liked the movie better...
  • Isaac. Just, Isaac. :')
I always thought that The Fault in Our Stars was way too cliché, I love that word, but actually seeing the movie I kinda understand... Oh, and one last thing!

Those grainy internet pictures though...

What did you think of The Fault in Our Stars?
